Olimpia collapsed in Trento, lost 91-57

Five players short and an all-time low energy level, Olimpia started the game well in Trento, leading 11-4, and then simply collapsed, losing 91-57. The game was a no contest. Trento took the lead late in the first, when made three threes and turned the deficit into a three-point lead. The second quarter was decisive. Trento started with a 20-0 run. Coach Ettore Messina called two time-outs trying to regroup but nothing changed. A 19-point deficit at halftime was never threatening. Trento closed the game easily. “Our tank was empty. The players that gave us a lot during a tough week didn’t have anything left in the tank. The legs were not there. We started well. When they raise the intensity and pace we collapsed.
