Olimpia collapsed in Trento, lost 91-57

Five players short and an all-time low energy level, Olimpia started the game well in Trento, leading 11-4, and then simply collapsed, losing 91-57. The game was a no contest. Trento took the lead late in the first, when made three threes and turned the deficit into a three-point lead. The second quarter was decisive. Trento started with a 20-0 run. Coach Ettore Messina called two time-outs trying to regroup but nothing changed. A 19-point deficit at halftime was never threatening. Trento closed the game easily. “Our tank was empty. The players that gave us a lot during a tough week didn’t have anything left in the tank. The legs were not there. We started well. When they raise the intensity and pace we collapsed. Unfortunately, we gave up. Now, we close this page, we open another,” Coach Ettore Messina said at the end.
